Mr. and Mrs. Rosas

It started with a missed phone call and a text, "Call me when you get a chance, it's urgent." My heart instantly hits my butt. A text from a client like this is not what you want to see on a quiet evening. My shutter buddy (more on her later) was in town, our families visiting each other for spring break, and we were getting ready to head out the door to go star gazing. One of the many benefits of living in a dark sky city! I called Rachel. She sounded fine on the phone so my nerves let up a bit, and she tells me that her cousin is getting married, tomorrow, and the photographer just canceled. "Are you available?" I looked up at Whitney and said loudly, "Oh, you need a photographer? Tomorrow? For a wedding?" My eyebrows arching higher with each word. Thankfully, we were able to easily move things around to make it happen.

The kicker, it's the one time my dear shutter buddy didn't travel with her camera. So I dug in my closet and found my old, trusty, Cannon Rebel, we raced to the store to buy a lens, and booked it to meet the sweetest couple ever at Agua Caliente Park for their first look. The joy and love this couple shared was palpable. We got some amazing shots at this desert oasis and had a blast getting to know them and their family.

Later in the evening, we met them at their ceremony location, a warehouse converted into a venue in downtown Tucson. It was a beautiful and intimate wedding. The Rosas overcame a lot to make their day happen, and I was so glad that Whitney and I were able to help and be there when they needed someone to fill in.

Weddings can be stressful, a bit chaotic, and there's a good chance something may go wrong. But, I encourage you to breathe through it and enjoy the moment. This couple exemplified "going with the flow", and it worked out just fine, beautifully even. At the end of the day, all that matters is you and your new spouse. Everything else will fall into place.
